If you have received 2 services in 2026, you are NOT eligible for additional services.
[ ] Valid physical SC-ID with current address. Expired IDs will not be accepted.
[ ] Original Social Security Cards for all household members.
[ ] Proof of ALL household income received in the past 30 days for members 18+ (SSI, Social Security, Child Support, Unemployment, Pay Stubs, Utility Check, pension or retirement, Alimony, Monthly Stipends, Adoption Subsidies, etc.)
[ ] Utility Bill
Dominion Energy: Current month’s bill.
Berkeley Electric / Edisto Electric / Santee Cooper: 3 most recent bills AND the transaction history.
We cannot assist Santee Cooper prepaid accounts.

GENERAL
The applicant — the person whose name appears on the bill — must be present for assistance, regardless of relationship.
Your ID must match your physical address. If your ID does not match your current address, please refer to DMV to get it updated before the event.
INCOME
If you have pay stubs, please ensure they are from your employer portal — we cannot accept bank statements. If there is a mismatch in dates or a gap in your pay stubs, please provide a printed copy in hand from your employer explaining the reason.
If you receive Social Security, please bring your 2025 award letter (also called a benefits verification letter). We can only accept the letter for the current year (2025). Must be a physical paper copy.
If you are self-employed, we cannot accept bank statements, Cash App transactions, or similar records as proof of income. You must provide your complete 2025 tax packet — all pages, signed. The pages must be physical paper copies.
